Texting While Driving: Va Personal Injury Attorney fighting for people injured in Automobile, Car, Truck & Motorcycle Accidents
This blog is sponsored by Tucker Griffin Barnes, Charlottesville Attorneys at Law.
As of July 1, 2013, a new statute will go into effect regarding texting while driving. This past session the Virginia legislature passed the statute which forbids texting while driving unless the car is legally stopped. This new law is an attempt to halt the growing number of injuries and deaths that occur because of texting while driving. Although questions may be raised on the applicability of the statute from a criminal defense perspective, the best course of action for everyone on the road is “Don’t”. Don’t text and drive. No text is worth your life or the life of someone else. As of July 1st, you may also add that the text is not worth the ticket you will have to pay.
